i just started watching season 5 of prison break and t-bag is just out of prison. In season 1 they said that he would be in prison for the rest of his life and when he got back in prison seven years later he is just released. How?

If I remember correctly, he escaped from Sona, because the prison burned down.
But in the end of season 4 he got back in fox river and then suddenly in the beginning of season 5he got released from prison after 7 years being in prison while in season 1 they said t-bag got life sentence so that doesn't make any sense to me that he was just released from fox river
