Fritz Gunderson was initially part of the Breakout Kings crew until he was caught stealing a knife, and was sent back to prison. He later worked with the team when they needed to capture Bennett Ballester.

Fritz Gunderson was an illegal game hunter imprisoned in Coxsackie Correctional Facility for an unknown sentence.
Breakout Kings[]
Fritz was fighting with another inmate, but he was called by a guard. Fritz was chosen by Ray Zancanelli to help to get convict August Tillman. At the exchange between the Marshals and Convicts, he agreed to help the Breakout Kings. He was briefly a part of the team until he put a knife in his sock while they were eating at a diner. Charlie DuChamp realised this and handcuffed him to a rail in the diner, he was then sent back to prison.
Fritz was given a 2nd chance to work with the team and to earn a small, personal reward when he was needed to help find Bennett Ballester. Fritz did know his way around the Adirondacks, but was left handcuffed to the team's SUV because most of the team didn't trust him. At the time, the Breakout Kings were away, Fritz was still handcuffed. Fritz did assist with the capture which earned him his reward, a plate of ribs, a case of beer and a Hustler magazine.

- Fritz's information was too blurry to read on-screen in the Pilot along with Lloyd.
- Fritz has met all the main characters.
- Fritz is the only Breakout Kings member, who was involved in capturing August Tillman, but was also involved in capturing another criminal (at the time he was back in his old prison), Bennett Ballester.
- Fritz along with Julianne weren't in any danger during season 1.
- Brock Johnson was possibly credited for his part in the episode, the Bag Man, but he in fact didn't appear at all.
- Fritz did like Erica Reed; he once winked at her.
- Fritz is the only Breakout Kings member who is not a main cast member.
- Fritz is the only Breakout Kings member and prisoner who didn't appear in more than 1 prison (Julianne Simms, Ray Zancanelli and Charlie DuChamp weren't in prison at all). It's highly unlikely that Erica wasn't in prison at all. Though it's not shown or mentioned on-screen.
